Have an interview? Keep searching anyway.

Don’t stop job searching just because you have a job interview.

Even if you’re on your second or third round (or more), keep on searching and networking. Until you get the offer letter in your hands, it’s not a done deal.

Anything can happen during a job interview process. Employers can decide not to fill the position after all. They may change the responsibilities, reporting structure, and/or salary.

The hiring manager or person you’d be reporting to may suddenly leave the company. The employer may start laying off staff.

The company may restructure, relocate, change its work-from-home policy, or close its doors.

Keep your options open. Don’t put all of your eggs in one basket.

Continue applying for jobs, having networking conversations, refining your LinkedIn profile, and updating your resume. Staying prepared for any outcome can help you feel more in control in this unpredictable job market.
